Omar

With a Master’s degree in International Business from Paris Dauphine University, in Paris, Omar first joined LDC through the company’s graduate program. In almost ten years since then, he hasn't let a single growth opportunity pass him by.

After completing the graduate program, Omar has taken on roles as diverse as biodiesel analyst, junior fertilizers trader, coffee marketer and coffee commercial manager. Through his experiences with different commodities, he has gained a deep understanding of the business and of the markets where LDC operates.

It is no surprise that Omar has progressed his career to reach the leadership role he holds today, in which he manages LDC’s Grains & Oilseeds activities in Egypt and the wider Middle East & North Africa region, developing our customer portfolio for these core business lines.

Omar values the vital nature and entrepreneurial spirit of LDC’s global business. In his own words, “it’s about playing an essential role in the agricultural value chain.”
