As the Accountant – Supply Chain / Industry for the Australia Grains and Oilseeds Platform, your role is to be responsible for working effectively with the Financial Controller within the areas of management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets integrity, stock control, and finance systems mainly within the Supply Chain Division.
Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for timely completion of reliable and accurate monthly management financials.
- Responsible for managing accounting impacts from industry asset procurement/divestment including accountability for key fixed asset schedules and population of the consolidation tool for Group Accounting.
- Preparation of the annual company budget in collaboration with Financial Controller for the Supply Chain (Industry) division for Ports, Country Sites and Industry Corporate business units.
- Support in monthly full-year Industry forecast, including tracking of supply chain-related volumes and other KPIs for Management and Executive.
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Analysis of capex project applications.
- Overseeing and responsible for the integrity of the billing module within CSM.
- Responsibility for the regression testing of billing in CSM.
- Project support in the CSM to ERP integration.

Desired qualifications, skills, and experience:
Qualification and Experience:
- Finance or Accounting undergraduate degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in a Finance role.
- Technical accounting knowledge gained from a medium - large/complex corporate environment, reporting according to Australian Accounting Standards.
- Understanding of the grain industry preferred.
Other skills:
- Good knowledge of accounting processes (including variance analysis, GL posting, accruals and reconciliations) and management reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with key end-to-end business processes and associated internal controls such as budgeting and forecasting, invoicing and billing, procure-to-payment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in meeting period end reporting deadlines including a daily reporting cycle.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Membership of Professional accounting organization (e.g. CPA or ICAA) preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP, SAPB1 and/or CSM ERP packages preferred.
