About the role

We are currently recruiting for the position of Trade Support Analyst based in our Brisbane office. This position supports the cotton trading team and the facilitation of pricing and execution of commodities. This is a fixed term role for 23 months. 

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyse data and information to deliver market pricing and positioning points to the traders
  • Coordinate with various departments including contract control, finance and logistics to consolidate information for analysis
  • Support the trader in daily bid-offer updates and communication to other team members 
  • Support the trader in daily activity reporting and inventory of warehouse stocks
  • Update sales files by coordinating in international offices
  • Assisting in special projects such as capex planning, bulk shipments, logistical solutions etc.
  • Assisting in research tasks including daily and weekly updates on the market and market changes, market analysis and trading strategy.

  • Strong logical reasoning skills to analyze data and make recommendations
  • Ability to problem solve and methodically review data
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Good numerical skills and intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • High level of organisation skills
  • Adaptive to change, and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong decision-making ability and attention to detail

Desired but not essential skills

  • Exposure to trade commodities industry
