Main accountabilities (Main Responsibilities):
Function partner
- Responsible for industrial cost analysis, collaborate with Industry team, plants, and platform to monitor production KPI across plants, standardize the cost allocation and budget control.
- Monitor any non-compliance based on Company’s policies and alert management about any exceptions.
Financial reporting
- Provide commentary to management and platforms on the main drivers influencing P&L based on a solid understanding of the industrial process and operation.
- Coordinate / yearly / quarterly / monthly P&L, and check reconciliation with monthly statutory reporting, formulate action plans to minimize differences.
- Annual Budget: Make proper planning of time / needed materials and get aligned with across functions about Industry; prepare Industry related templates for sanity checks; conduct and coordinate Plant Finance Managers deliver Industry packages within agreed time frame and be able to explain what major drivers for the upward or downward trends.
- Quarterly Operation Review and Landing / Forecasting: Produce operation and asset usage report, highlight unusual items and dig out the reason behind; monitor actual operation performance with relevant departments. Work closely with Plant Finance Managers, Industry team, and Procurement team to figure out if any concerns behind numbers and make timely Landing / Forecasting adjustments in the system.
- Monthly tracking: Provided monthly production cost reports and do analysis for key indicators such as price, unit usage movements, maintenance spendings, yield. Highlight the exceptions compared with budget and lead the industry monthly review meeting with management team and central finance team.
- Daily: Monitor capex approval progress and collaborate with colleagues and monitor the capex cashflow actual spendings and forecast spendings. Consolidate Asia daily production report for management review, and alert management about any exceptions.
- Proactively communicate with other function groups (Accounting, Plant, Procurement Team, Industry Team, Regional and Platform control…) to ensure proper reporting and understanding of their function decisions or strategies.
Project sponsor
- Participate in new system master data mapping to implement effective systems for production cost tracking. Monitor Actual SAP &BI report maintenance and optimization.
- Act as a facilitator for external or internal audits.
Experience
Experience |
Knowledge and Experience:
At least 5-6 years of experience in finance function mainly in accounting and controlling activities gained in MNC, preferably including 2-3 years in a Big 4
Education: Degree in Finance/Accountancy
Systems: nice to have knowledge on SAP
Technical/ Functional skills:
- Strong management accounting skillset, including problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of both PRC GAAP and IFRS.
- Working experience in Commodities trading company is an advantage.
Other skills and competencies:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Ability to work independently and handle conditions of uncertainty.
- Demonstrated track record of being able to work within deadlines.
