The feedstock & Biofuels Certification Specialist is responsible for:
- Leading & updating EU LDC’s mass balances
- Ensure LDC’s sustainability documentation is in proper order at all times
- Ensure issuance of correct sustainability certificates
- Ensuring Group sustainability audits are passed
Key Responsibilities
- To follow the rules set out in different voluntary and National Schemes under which the Group is certified;
- To ensure that received/issued documentation is in line with contractual terms and demonstrates sustainability criteria set out in the European Renewable Energy Directive;
- To register received/issued documentation and ensure their entry into relevant sustainability databases (Nabisy, Carbure, UDB);
- To ensure that suppliers of sustainable materials are certified under any of RED voluntary schemes;
- To ensure that the mass balance is detailed and that mass balance period is respected;
- To ensure that the sustainability documentation is archived for a period set out in requirements of voluntary and National Schemes;
- To make sure that at least annual audits are planned and performed before the end of the certification period;
- To conduct internal audits at least once a year in all Group entities which are certified under voluntary and National Schemes;
- To prepare manual updates when needed and ensure that all modifications in sustainability documentation are available to everyone in the company dealing with sustainability;
- Provide annual training to operators dealing with sustainable materials and keep them up to date with the most recent legislative acts;
- Carry out internal audits for Group entities to resolve hypothetical non-conformities and guarantee continuous improvement;
- Provide replacement for the team members in case of temporary absence (incl. vacation, sickness, business trip, etc.);
- International travel is expected for training, audits, and certification.

Profile and skills
Experience:
- 4/5 years of professional experience (international experience will be considered as a plus);
- Previous knowledge in the sustainability of biodiesel, shipping, and logistics of liquid bulk cargoes;
- IT knowledge, including system specification and/or design
- Commercial awareness
- Audits - understanding of the specifics and/or experience with audits
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Soft Skills:
- Details and solutions oriented, with an analytical mindset;
- Willingness to learn in the field of sustainability
- Good written & verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams;
- Able to build relationships with 3rd parties;
- Rigorous, organized;
- Critical thinking;
- Flexible, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations;
- Ability to understand business processes and to communicate with different stakeholders;
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Language:
- Fluent English (verbal and written)
- Additional European languages such as German, Spanish, French, or Italian are beneficial.
