The execution department provides all back-office support for the NAM region of a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods. The manager oversees a team that performs the contract to cash process in a timely and accurate manner for the company’s assets in the US and Canada. This position provides insight and direction for operational reporting and sponsors system and process optimization initiatives for the execution function. The manager is also the key point of contact for regulatory authorities, auditors, and internal departments (Commercial, Accounting, Finance, Credit Risk, DT&A, Legal, Compliance

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Manages all aspects of the cash settlement and invoicing processes performed by the execution department:

  • Establishes standard operating procedures to complete execution tasks
  • Manages the MDM/EBX and TRAX processes for the execution function.
  • Supervises settlement and invoicing personnel.
  • Assists in resolving issues with front-line associates for internal and external customers.
  • Works with IT and Business Analyst as a SME for the Front Office Modernization project.
  • Collaborates with accounting and finance teams on proper GL coding, month end reporting, and reconciliations for execution transactions.
  • Provides integral input in the area of business intelligence and operational reporting for the company.

  • Provides comprehensive training programs that promote growth and cross-training for team members
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts for team procedures, processes, resources, and systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

Basic qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline.

 

Experience

Basic qualifications:

  • Five plus years of direct supervision experience.
  • Five plus years of commodity execution experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Basic qualifications:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate findings and make recommendations to facilitate change.
  • Financial analysis skills.
  • Broad range of computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. Microsoft Access and Visio will be beneficial.
  • Self-directed with a strong bias for action.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels.
