Overall Purpose and Objective of Position: The Continuous Improvement Intern will support the logistics team by identifying and implementing process improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of process mapping, gap analysis, and action plan creation to enhance operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Conduct process mapping and analysis to identify inefficiencies.
- Perform gap analysis to determine areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to address identified gaps.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful execution of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the progress of improvement projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in the documentation of processes and procedures.
- Support the logistics team with other tasks as needed.

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses:
- Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Experience:

- Previous internship or project experience in process improvement.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process mapping and gap analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
