I. Responsible Sourcing Certification Implementation:
- Coordinate and support activities related to the implementation of LDC Coffee’s Responsible Sourcing certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards and ethical sourcing practices.
- Collaborate with Agronomists, Field Technicians, and external stakeholders (suppliers, auditors, experts) to ensure farmers meet certification requirements.
- Maintain and track progress of certified farms and work to expand the certification program in line with the established RS business plan.
II. Stronger Coffee Initiative Coordination:
- Support the coordination and execution of the Stronger Coffee Initiative, a global program aimed at strengthening partnerships with coffee farmers, improving their livelihoods, and fostering sustainable farming practices.
- Work closely with the SCI manager and the Sustainability team to ensure alignment with global sustainability goals and commercial plans in executing on-farm activities (farmer training programs, carbon removal via agroforestry, regenerative demo-plots, etc.).
- Monitor and report on the impact of the Stronger Coffee Initiative, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
III. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, external stakeholders, and certification bodies to ensure smooth execution of programs.
- Foster strong relationships with coffee farmers, suppliers, local communities, and industry partners to promote sustainability and responsible sourcing practices.
IV. Data Management & Reporting:
- Supervise data collection by Field Technicians and work closely with the Sustainability Analyst on data analysis to ensure that all initiatives are tracked, evaluated, and communicated to key stakeholders.
- Prepare reports on progress towards sustainability goals for project donors and internal stakeholders, identifying key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
V. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends, certification requirements (e.g., EUDR, 4C, Rainforest Alliance), and key topics such as Regenerative Agriculture, Carbon Reduction Strategies, and Living Income benchmarks.
- Propose and implement best practices to enhance the impact of sustainability programs across all regions.
Experience
Experience |
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven successful project management experience (5+ years) in sustainability, agriculture, or a related field, preferably in the coffee industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of sustainability certifications, ethical sourcing, and corporate social responsibility programs.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and stakeholders from different divisions.
- Good leadership skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Familiarity with data management and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Fluency in English is required.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to coffee-growing regions in South Sumatra and Lampung area.
