The primary responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator are to coordinate, plan and manage the transport logistics to ensure that LDC meets its contractual obligations and legislative requirements in the execution of all physical contracts (both purchase and sale). The role includes following through all logistics tasks including and not limited to managing orders, accumulations, contracts, carriers, site planning and collection of delivery reports and tickets.
Working closely with the LDC Trading & Commercial teams and other key service providers, the successful candidate will be proactive in identifying and securing the best commercial and services solution available to LDC and its customers.
Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and execute logistics at LDC to ensure contractual obligations in the execution of all physical contracts both purchase and sales are met.
- Process customer deliveries in line with their expectations, requirements, and job type in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Manage up country site logistics, providing support to a number of sites, developing strong relationship with Site Managers & Clients at the site.
- Monitoring and adding truck booking and scheduling. Maintain service agreements with service providers to ensure that LDC maintain cost competitiveness across all supply chains.
- Work closely with Trading & Marketing staff in managing grain contract positions and execution of such contracts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with end-user customers and all service providers.
- Timely preparation of delivery report data to be collected from end users for preparation of entry/ticketing into LDC databases to ensure that account payment and account receivable processes are not impeded.
- Responsible for entering accurate data from various sources including logistic/transport providers, trade counterparties and internal stakeholder into LDC databases to ensure positional reporting.
- HVNL compliance monitoring and reporting as directed by Logistics Manager.
- Track and analyse Customer Logistics Services transportation and storage costs; Coordinate the road logistics plan for export and domestic outturn for LDC clients.
- Work with Logistics Manager to identify improvements to LDC’s logistics procedures.

- Experience in scheduling.
- Previous customer focused role.
- Road & Rail freight experience.
- Logistics or planning qualification.
