  • The individual will be responsible for classifying cotton based on grade and staple length.
  • The individual must possess technical expertise regarding cotton quality specifications.
  • They should provide guidance on the quality of cotton available in the market.
  • Travel to cotton-producing regions in India will be required.
  • They are expected to transport cotton samples from various ginning factories to LDC offices.
  • The individual should analyze the layers of cotton samples to identify variations in color, foreign materials, seeds, and leaves.
  • They must be able to assess staple length, variations in staple within the sample, and strength by pulling apart the sample tuft with their fingers.
  • Knowledge of the different varieties of cotton cultivated in various states of India is essential. 
  • The individual should be adept at detecting the mixing of inferior cotton with superior varieties.
  • They must evaluate the quality of cotton upon receipt of bales at the warehouse or Container Freight Station (CFS).
  • Any Graduate
  • Accurate data entry & documentation skills.
  • Open for Travel.
  • Ability to work independently and propose solutions.
  • Team player.
