To assist in compliance of the Operational Risk policy in the country across all Platforms – enabling and demonstrating an environment of “prudently uninsured”. To manage the approval workflow of all local storage facilities and relevant service providers in the country as well as identifying, performing or managing 3rd party performance of site surveys and stock checks. To assist country commercial teams with advice on storage and logistics matters and to support with communications and training on movement, loading and storage of commodity types.
• Promote and embed compliance with the Operational Risk policy in the country
• Manage the country storage facility and service provider approval workflows
• Analyse country inventory data and exposure at risk & implement necessary actions-on
• Identify minimum requirement stock checks and ensure trading desks perform and log them.
• Perform site surveys & stock checks throughout the country and manage the process and performance of 3rd party providers of surveys and stock checks
• Identify specific supply chain risks , suggest & implement appropriate mitigants
• Analyse and approve service providers of key storage mitigants (CMA/SMA etc) as well as their standard operating procedures
• Assist in development of practical supply chain loss prevention initiatives and policies
• Coordinate the initiatives with regional OpRisk team members
• Maintain relations across commercial and execution/operations teams
• Manage and escalate country breaches of policy
• Provide training to country operational/commercial teams on physical commodity risks
• Coordinate regional team training for the above
• Build and maintain key relationships with service providers within the country
• Coordinate regional OpRisk team entries in Risk Incident Register (RIR)
• Physical inspection/surveying background with good all-round commodity knowledge
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in physical commodity supervision & inspection
• Solid knowledge & experience of performing inventory calculation, including manual bulk stockpile volumetric calculations and technical (laser) stockpile volumetric calculation: silo and tank dip test volumetric calculation
• Solid knowledge of storage requirements for different types of commodity and the key threats posed in store to different commodity types
• Solid knowledge & experience of physical risk management & storage mitigants (CMA/SMA/insurance etc)
• Ability to present & communicate clearly and professionally to a range of stakeholders internally
• Ability to build strong relationships across the business & demonstrate diplomatic but firm response to stakeholder push-back where applicable
• High level of common sense, creativity & innovative problem solving
• Work & deliver under pressure
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
• Timely approval of storage facilities
• Demonstrable uptake of policy actions in the regions by desks

Job Description
