This position is responsible for risk model management including steps such as design, deployment, production, and communication to different stakeholders.
Having a global scope and a high level of autonomy the position analyses data to draw insights, patterns and conclusions to sort risks and perform forecasts.
Must be adept at handling large, complex datasets and developing and applying robust analytical processes including data cleaning, data interpretation models, forecasting, pattern identification and trend analysis.
• Create and run advanced and predictive analyses and perform model assessments validation and enhancement activities using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities.
• Some of the tasks that the incumbent will take responsibility for:
• Dynamic dashboarding -promoting visibility of information depending on importance, as defined by algorithm-
• Enhancing our stress testing methodology to facilitate and accelerate time from design to reporting; and
• An introduction of AI techniques to extract, model and quantify information from large datasets.
• Be in close contact with LDC’s Data Scientist community to ensure the exchange and use of the latest technologies available, and the optimization of resources by guaranteeing that efforts are not duplicated.
• Consolidate, transform and analyze data from multiple sources to meet reporting requirements.
• Work independently to collate and analyze data using predetermined tools methods and formats to create standard insights.
• Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
• Assist with the maintenance and development of data assets and sources used for market risk analysis.
• Assists in the development of market risk systems and reports. Research and execute better data and code management practices to improve existing functionalities or implement new ones.
• Leverage and develop existing systems architecture to deploy analysis and insights in an automated and easily accessible manner.
• Support the automation and enhancement of reports so to allow self-service management from all stakeholders.
• Guarantee the code quality and security to maintain the code´s performance and longevity.
• Solid experience in one of these business areas: Market Risk, research, data science, Quantitative finance or related commodities trading industry experience;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Advanced Programming skills;
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming language, preference for those used by the team: Python, SAS;
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel macros & VBA.
• Relevant experience of valuation of financial derivatives and/or physical assets;
• Econometric modelling;
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, SAS VA;
• English (Advanced)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or related quantitative subject.
