As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will have direct interaction with all levels of Company Management and you will be responsible for managing credit risk exposure of the designated portfolio by performing risk assessment on counterparties, providing credit recommendation to the next level approvers, and enabling business growth by providing insightful portfolio reporting and monitoring activities.
You are required to collaborate closely and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders such as Senior Credit Analysts within the SSEA region, Credit team across the globe, Commercial team, Execution team, Finance team, IT team who may be stationed across different countries.
Main Responsibilities:
Credit Analysis and Monitoring:
- Perform credit risk analysis and due diligence on counterparties and propose adequate limits – either for new counterparties or limit renewal
- Understand and assess the risks associated to the transactions entered into with the various counterparts and take these risks into consideration while assessing the limit needs and giving credit recommendation
- Conduct review and analysis of countries and assigned sectors in which the counterparty operates that could have a potential impact on counterparty risks (regulations, markets, main actors, etc)
Portfolio Reporting and Monitoring:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on SSEA portfolios to support business decision-making
- Actively participate in the monthly Platform meeting by presenting portfolio credit dashboard
- Follow-up with traders and execution team on overlimit and overdues cases as part of reporting and monitoring activities
- Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders from other departments such as Commercial, Execution, Accounting, Finance and IT team
Credit Team Systems/ IT-related Project:
- Act as the key point of contact on any of the Credit Team’s systems-related issues/projects
- Propose/Champion/Participate/Collaborate with colleagues in other Departments in business process improvement initiatives or regional projects to align/streamline processes in line with LDC’s Trade to Cash Principles
Experiences:
- At least 3-5 years of experiences in Credit Risk/Product Control/Management Accounting/Audit
- Working knowledge of Financial Markets, in particular Commodity and Foreign Exchange Markets
Other skills (Computer Skills, etc):
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SQL and PowerBI is a plus
- Knowledge of Credit tools (Bloomberg, Moody’s, S&P, D&B, credit networks) is a plus
- Experience in identifying early warning signals, distressed credits, bankruptcies, and workout scenarios
- Ability to analyse financial statements, ratios, and qualitative information to derive credit opinion
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for details
- Good business sense with high level vision
- Ability to identify/control weaknesses and implement process improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees & management
- Ability to handle/prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Independent self-starter who takes initiative, and has a proactive attitude toward problems and issues
Academics:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field of study
