Our activities span the entire value chain from farm to fork, across a broad range of business lines, we leverage our global reach and extensive asset network to serve our customers and consumers around the world. Structured as a matrix organization of six geographical regions and ten platforms, Louis Dreyfus Company is active in over 100 countries and employs approximately 18,000 people globally.

The Grain Merchant is responsible for providing grain marketing services to Louis Dreyfus Company’s grower customers. These services are delivered through building and developing successful relationships with our grower community and understanding their farming and grain marketing requirements better than any other competitor in the market.


Key responsibilities may be but not limited to - 

  • Operate in accordance with approved strategy, appetite, and pricing limits to achieve agreed margin and volume targets.
  • Develop and implement site-specific strategies to reach budgeted receivals into allocated LDC sites.
  • Maintain key regional metrics including crop area, abandonment, yield estimates, quality trends, grower delivery behaviour and selling pace for your region.
  • Accurately record all purchase contracts and amendments into Salesforce within specified timeframes.
  • Maintain weekly contact with assigned Site Managers
  • Develop relationships with grower customers/brokers, within the area delegated by Regional Manager, to achieve agreed

 

 

Qualification - 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an agricultural discipline preferred.
  • Experience & understanding of South Australia / Victorian agriculture and farming systems.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and intermediate general computing skills.
  • Understanding of Salesforce and Grainmate.
  • GTA Trade Rules Qualification.

Experience
