2025 Graduate Trainee Program (Finance Track):
This is an 18-month program designed to equip you with foundational knowledge and professional skills in the Finance and Risk departments. The program begins with a 1-year rotation in Business Controlling department where you will learn about the core Trading and Merchandizing activity performing Daily Position, P&L Reporting and supporting Month-End closing and other business focused analysis.
This will be followed by two 3-month rotations in other Functions such as Credit Risk, Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Processes & Systems Optimisation (FPSO) and Internal Control depending on business needs. Through practical projects and mentoring from leaders in the team, you would gain deeper understanding of the broader business and competencies that are essential to furthering your career growth.
Finally, the program also includes a mid-rotation assignment to Treasury Department where the Trainee will participate in LDCs annual Bank Syndication program which will give exposure to strategy of all Platforms (Businesses lines) and the institutional loan market.
Depending on individual performance, you could expect to develop professionally in any of the Finance or Risk functions depending on business needs, personal interest and at the conclusion of the program.

Key Department Rotations and Responsibilities:
Business Controlling:
- Prepare, monitor, and analyse the daily P&L and positions for assigned platforms/business units
- Assist Platform Controllers to produce Weekly and Monthly P&Ls and provide Daily and Monthly Commentary on Platform performance
- Ensure an accurate monthly closing in accordance with internal deadlines and reporting requirements
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on topics of G&A, Capex, Net Interest
- Input budget and landing data into the Global financial reporting system
- Assist Regional FP&A Manager in coordinating and managing the Budget and Landing process for South and South-East Asia including preparing regional presentations and variance analysis
- Produce ad-hoc management reporting for Regional Management including Trend Analysis, Year-on-Year Comparatives and KPI monitoring
Finance Processes and Systems Optimization (FPSO):
- Assist with system projects and implementation and user support to Functional users
- Assist with automation and data visualisation projects
Tax:
- Assist in income tax return preparation and filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Respond to tax authority queries, defending historical commercial/tax positions taken
- Offer ad-hoc business advisory and support to the Regional Tax team as required
Credit Risk:
- Spreading counterparty Financial Statements into LDC Scorecard
- Conducting counterparty business research, information gathering for trade requests/credit reviews
- Ensure exposure accuracy in weekly reports and follow-up with various stakeholders/front-end systems
Internal Control:
- Support Trade-to-Cash (TTC) monitoring and risk assessment
- Assist in assessing and analysing key control focus areas and support on other ad-hoc internal control projects
Requirements:
- Recent graduates with Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent, and with strong academic records are welcome to apply
- Excellent problem solving and numerical/analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive in dynamic situations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and programming languages e.g., VBA, Python, Power BI is a plus
- Prior internship in commodities industry or experience in product control/business analysis/audit is a plus
