EMEA Tax Department is the in-house tax team of Louise Dreyfus Company for Europe, Black Sea, Middle East and Africa region and is specialized in supporting the business in all aspects of taxation (International Tax, Corporate tax and Indirect Taxes). The team support the business in management of their taxes and associated risks. The EMEA Tax Team analyses situations, resolves issues and proactively look for cost saving opportunities and well as building sustainable relationships with the Tax authorities.
The EMEA Tax team has a vacancy for a EMEA Indirect Analyst /Maternity cover role/ - Junior who will assist the EMEA Indirect Tax Specialists and the EMEA Indirect Tax Senior Manager in the organization and preparation of the VAT compliance for the different EMEA VAT registrations of the Louis Dreyfus group.
Main responsibilities
- Perform control checks on the VAT accounting reports
- Responsible for the preparing, reviewing and /or arranging for the timely submission of all the VAT returns together with other VAT compliance related matters for the VAT registrations of the group
- Direct entry of VAT data into Tax Authorities systems
- Prepare together with the GL’s VAT reconciliations and track corrective entries
- Support the preparation of replies to questions raised by the Tax Authorities
- Support VAT audits
- AI results research and resolution
- Assist with other day to day accounting, VAT /Customs compliance issues as the need arises
- Travelling to EMEA countries may be required

Required skills
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- A preference for at least 1 years of EU VAT experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently where required
- Good computer skills and have an excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to coach others
- Be proactive and solution focused
- Accurate and have good and impartial judgement
- Be able to prioritize and work under pressure
- Language skills: fluent English
