As a Solution Manager, you are the referent for the commercial inventories applications and solutions.  

You define and establish target solution, starting from an initial conceptual vision and evolving into a more concrete solution specification. You make high-level design choices according to the business strategy; dictate the standards, guidelines, best practices, and patterns and identify impacts on the information system. You will have to understand business requirements, prepare or review specifications, work effectively with other functional and technical team members, make recommendations, and converge all requirements into one/several solutions.

When specifications are set and solutions defined, you will also ensure the delivery of the solution hand-in-hand with the rest of the team.

In this position, you will have three main roles covering a large scope of responsibilities:

You are the gatekeeper of the commercial inventories processes and it integration with the rest of the ecosystem :

  • Understand the business needs and translate into a solution.
  • With other team members, you design cross processes flows.
  • Work closely and confidently with various departments.
  • You are ensuring maintenance and enhancement of your process.

You act as trusted partner for long term & continuous improvement:

  • Manage business relationship to define target priorities and business value.
  • Ensure communication and be responsible of oneself indicators (measurable KPIs).
  • Animate, inform, communicate, enhance, anticipate and perform with the other domains to ensure end-to-end design.
  • Elaborate action plans for continuous improvements of the solution and solving recurrent incidents.  

As a summary:

As commercial inventories solution owner, you will be ensuring :

  • Business Process Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the business processes under his scope and knowledge sharing with other team members.
  • Vision and Strategy definition: defining the vision for the processes / solutions under his scope, ensuring it aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Design Oversight : Design / solutioning choices are aligned with the defined product vision and meet the business requirements and adheres to SAP best practices.
  • Gate keeping / Quality assurance: Change process is followed and the predefined criteria are met before move to production (successful testing, successful NRT, impact communication & change management conducted, transition to RUN performed).

 IT Skills

  • [Must] Experience in IT best practices.
  • [Must] Medium experience in SAP MM-IM (Inventory Management).
  • [Must] Basic experience in SAP Integration (IDoc, Web Service, etc.)
  • [Plus] Basic experience in SAP PP (Production Planning)
  • [Plus] Basic experience with test campaign executions & automation tool.
  • [Plus] Basic experience with JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • [Plus] Basic experience on SAP BTP, SAC and Datasphere

 

Business Skills

  • [Must] Medium experience on inventory management business processes understanding.
  • [Plus] Basic experience in soft commodity trading practices.

Soft Skills

  • [Must] Great relationship and ability to work with multiple teams.
  • [Must] Ability and flexibility to work independently as well as in a team.
  • [Must] Ability to learn fast and adapt to new solutions.
  • [Must] Ability to demonstrate Critical Thinking.
  • [Must] Strong analysis, synthesis & communication capacity (written & oral).
  • [Must] Flexibility/adaptability in a quick changing background scenario & no uncomfortable feelings in front of ambiguity.
