Overall purpose:

Our international Vessel Execution role is responsible for execution vessels, providing leadership, management, and subject matter expertise for the daily execution of allocated voyage and time-chartered vessels. The person in this position is not only accountable for the efficient execution of the running fleet on the desk, but also for maximizing the profitability of every vessel in close cooperation with the commercial members of local origination team.


Your missions:

  • Accountable for the flawless international execution of grains & oilseeds within Ukraine.
  • Implement and oversee vessels execution operations for allocated voyage or time-chartered vessels ensuring smooth and efficient execution
  • Communicate with traders, chartering team, logistics and finance departments
  • Monitor and mitigate risks related to delays, damages, cargo claims and contract disputes.
  • Verify and process laytime calculations and demurrage/despatch claims. Review freight costs, detention, and demurrage invoices for accuracy
  • Ensure timely payment settlements and cost control for each contract
  • Act as a point of contact in case of operational disruptions or force majeure events. Work with legal and insurance teams to resolve disputes efficiently
  • Efficient execution of contracts for UA/EU origins. Clear and timely communication with Buyers during the execution of contract
  • Drafting and handling of international trading contracts with different sales/purchase terms and destinations
  • Planning of loading program, transshipment operations and relevant expenses for each vessel nominated under the contract. Monitor contract deadlines, cargo readiness and shipment schedules
  • Maintain accurate records in company databases and internal systems
  • Control of cargo quality parameters and analysis results during execution of the contract
  • Control of loading/unloading operations of each unit nominated under the contract
  • Control of documentation flow for each shipment
  • LC - Check the LC. Request amendments. Communication with Buyer + Banks
  • Actively support the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental systems and objectives

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree (International Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration or related area)
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of international trade and (preferably in the agricultural industry) general knowledge of international contract terms (GAFTA, FOSFA) preferred
  • Understanding of international shipping procedures and vessel operations
  • Experience in handling charter parties and performing laytime calculations
  • Ability to assess shipping risks, costs, and contract terms
  • Strong written and verbal communication for international coordination
  • Ukrainian – native
  • English – fluent
