Viviani has been with LDC since 2021. In her role, she coordinates the development of new products and applications from citrus fruits such as oranges, limes and lemons, and supports the exploration of new technologies for industrial and agricultural uses, such as orchard monitoring and harvesting, and the evaluation of new equipment and processes for citrus processing.
Viviani’s team works continually to diversify the Juice Platform’s product portfolio (which includes citrus juices, oils, essences and peels, as well as animal feed) through research, scientific studies, pilots and laboratory tests, and strategic partnerships with start-ups, universities and companies that offer solutions to various business challenges.
Viviani believes curiosity, patience and persistence are key to a successful career in R&D & Innovation, as projects can take time to yield results and demand extensive product and process knowledge. A believer in continuous education, she maintains we should always be open to new possibilities and never stop learning.
She is also clear about what motivates her at LDC: “I’m empowered to carry out my work with autonomy and interact with people at various levels. As this is an international company, I also get to work with people from different cultures and countries. And it’s incredible to understand and see how raw materials are processed - with quality and safety - until they reach customers.”
