I’m a Solution Manager for Front Office Systems, International Trading and Execution. I manage a front office system called Atlas. It’s a system for trading logistics and it’s an accounting system. So basically, it’s used from the initial trade to the cash process, trading, execution, logistics, production, accounting, and financial controlling - with a lot of reports… So you can say we are the first piece toward the democracy of data, the capture of data.
Originally, I joined LDC in India, Bangalore, India, and four years ago I moved to France.
What excites me the most about LDC, is the future... I think LDC is playing in the right areas and it is very exciting for someone like me, who is passionate about sustainability and the environment.
I think the best part of my day is people. At LDC we are surrounded by amazing teams. I have a great team myself and overall LDCs a bunch of passionate, motivated, smart and really kind people.
Every project is a reward in itself, but the most recent one that I worked on was for our Carbon Solutions Platform. We were asked to provide a front office system to help the trading of carbon credits. We all pulled together and, within weeks, we set up the system and were ready to start the business. It made me happy that we could provide quick solutions that make a difference to the business.
LDC offers a lot of trainings, but I think the job is also where we learn each day. And whether you like it or not, one way or the other, you do end up learning new things because the projects are not all the same type.
