I have been working at Louis Dreyfus Company for 7 years, initially in Beijing as Execution Manager and now in Geneva as Cotton Contract Control Manager for Europe and the Black Sea. In my role, I supervise arbitration cases for the Cotton Platform, monitor daily new contracts/agency agreements and control that LDC’s global operation guidelines are applied in the Cotton Platform, among others.
An internship at a commodity trading company first sparked my interest in this industry. I was impressed by the fast-paced work environment and how adept the traders were at negotiation. I chose to build my career at Louis Dreyfus Company based on its corporate culture. Everyone here is so helpful and, most importantly, everyone here values the work I do.
There are multiple opportunities for advancement. I’ve worked here for seven years and in that time I’ve held assignments in two countries, Switzerland and China, and developed the necessary skills for my current role: perseverance, analytical skills, flexibility and self-motivation.
