I work on digital innovation and transformation projects for the company on a global scale.
What makes my role special is based on several aspects. The first is that I get to know different teams, projects and products in different regions - and each time I learn something new. The second aspect is the proximity to top management. We have strong support from our stakeholders, from both business platforms and also our digital teams. The last aspect is that we have different project teams based on the needs and ideas that we identify. So, my team can be recomposed every time, and this is amazing.
LDC is where you can make it happen. You encounter people with different profiles - from traditional traders, who are very finance and business orientated, to the digital team, who are very tech savvy in their area - and when you join their knowledge and interests together, it makes an impact and things happen.
Before joining LDC, I didn't realize that I would love so much working in agri-commodities. I think there are three areas that I really like. One is the hands-on aspect, because in many companies you get to work on a project but you don't see it implemented and, at LDC, you can make this happen, you can be a part of it, you can be at the core of the transformation and day-to-day life. The second thing I love about LDC is the global reach. We have teams working in different regions.
The third aspect that I love about LDC is how fast it can change. People always get the impression that agriculture is slow, that the company has 170 years of history and things are not moving - and that is not true. Things are always changing. At LDC, we seize opportunities to make things happen.
