We are recruiting for a full-time Journeyman Millwright to work a 6-month contract at our Yorkton, SK Canola Crushing Facility, with the likelihood of contract extension or conversion to permanent fulltime employment.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the daily maintenance needs for all plant equipment.
- Duties include continuous preventive maintenance on all production and non-production equipment. Will be responsible for inspecting, installing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical machines on site. Will repair and assemble plant equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and standards.
- Safely operate mobile equipment including working from ladders, platforms staging scaffolds, mobile equipment baskets.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills:
- Four years of production/processing experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the oil seed processing or biodiesel industry
- Some knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
- General knowledge of Process Safety Management
- General knowledge of the regulatory requirements the facility operates under (e.g., OH&S, HACCP, Environment)
