As a Human Resources Intern at Louis Dreyfus Company, you will be supporting the team on HR operations and process improvement projects, as well as our early career program. This internship is designed to provide you exposure to a wide range of HR functions, from recruitment, onboarding to employee relations. You will work closely with HR professionals, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge that would be valuable for your future career in Human Resources.
Internship duration:
- Between Jan to Jun 2025
Main Responsibilities:
HR Operations:
- Prepare HR-related documents such as employment contracts and certification letters
- Maintain and update HR records and files, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy
- Assist in the smooth onboarding process for new employees as well as exit process for leavers
- Support on annual processes such as income tax filing and data integrity checks
Employee engagement and development:
- Coordinate and execute HR events related to employee engagement and wellbeing, such as creation of promotional posters and awareness campaigns
- Coordinate and plan learning and development programs that would address learning needs of employees
Recruitment:
- Support the early career program from coordinating of campus fairs, to arranging and participating in candidate interviews and assessment
- Identify suitable channels and networks for collaboration opportunities with universities for campus outreach events
HR Projects:
- Review and propose changes to employee onboarding/offboarding processes, as part of HR process improvement
- Review HR policies for Singapore and Malaysia for the creation of employee handbook and guidelines
- Conduct research on trends in learning and development, talent attraction and employee engagement that could implemented for the company
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites, and knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva) would be a plus
