  • Conduct regular crop tour in Indonesia and Malaysia, each trip would be 8 – 15 days each, 4 – 8 times a year
  • Analyze and report crop tour result and suggest what adjustment need to be made on production forecast
  • Do bi-weekly catch up with plantations to get updates about palm production, the actual and the forecast
  • Follow closely weather data and weather forecast across palm region and highlight the impact to the team
  • Gather information related to fertilizer and model it to predict the impact to palm yield
  • Arrange regular meeting with plantations to get the latest issues around palm industry
  • Lead discussion around palm/palm production with commercial and asset team on weekly meeting
  • Collect weekly FFB price from various palm oil mills
  • Ensure all palm related data and links in research database are updated everyday
  • Update and report palm mill and plantation margin model
  • Hold bachelor's degree in related field (agronomy)
  • Has working experience in palm research for min. 3 years
  • Willing and able to travel by car in a long distance (200 – 400 Km)
  • Has driving license
  • Good health, not sensitive to weather, food and physical stress
  • Familiarity with palm crop forecasting is an advantage
