The Louis Dreyfus Company are currently recruiting for the full-time position of Assistant Ginner, based in Dalby. In this role you will be part of a small team and be involved in all aspects of cotton ginning operations including but not limited to:

  • supervising a seasonal team of workers during day or night shift
  • monitoring production, conducting preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns promptly 
  • ensuring safe systems of work and sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision is provided for health and safety

Desired skills

  • ginning experience preferred
  • mechanically minded or experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • safety-aware and have fitness to handle long shifts during the season
  • eager to learn and able to think on your feet and troubleshoot
  • self-starter with the ability to work independently takes initiative 
  • good work ethic and team player
  • ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees and with people from diverse backgrounds

To be successful in this role you will also be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
