The Container Execution Manager is responsible for leading the container execution and logistics hub based in Sofia for the LDC Coffee Division in EMEA. This role involves hands-on operational management, team leadership, logistics execution excellence, meeting client expectations, process optimization, proactive risk management and uphold the organization’s reputation for excellence in the coffee trade.
Responsibilities:
- Manage EMEA Container Hub: Oversee logistics operations in Sofia with a hands-on approach.
- Team Management: Allocate and review workloads, adjusting as needed.
- Staff Training: Organize training, set objectives, conduct appraisals, and develop roles.
- Business Execution: Master execution flows and ERP transactions, ensuring timely recording.
- SOPs: Develop and formalize clear SOPs for all execution flows.
- Contract Review: Ensure adherence to trade-to-cash flow and review contract positions.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with company policies.
- Shipment Coordination: Review open shipments and manage documentation and PnL impact.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and lead resolution efforts.
- Exposure Reporting: Generate and review exposure reports to identify and mitigate risks.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication with all parties involved in execution.
- Data Maintenance: Maintain execution master data and shipping instructions.
- Project Support: Assist in projects, reporting, and KPI reviews.
- ERP Improvement: Identify and escalate ERP inefficiencies.

- 10 years working experience in an international trade or logistics environment.
- 5 years experience in managing operational teams
Technical Skills
- Advanced excel and reporting skills
- Freight forwarding and shipping in containers knowledge.
- International commerce, export and import requirements and customs regulations
- International payment instruments, letters of credit, Incoterms and Governing rules General understanding for financial and accounting principles
- General understanding for shipping tax and law principles
Other Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines under pressure
- Effective analytical skills and problem solving
- Proactive and detail oriented
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Fluent in English both speaking and writing, any other European language a plus
- Bachelor Degree (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related areas)
