Having established a strong origination and logistics network, we continue to expand our presence and activities in the country. LDC started exporting wheat from Ukraine in 1864. We are one of the country’s top three grains and oilseeds exporters. We employ more than 400 people in Ukraine.

International Vessel Execution role is responsible for execution vessels, barges, providing leadership, management, and subject matter expertise for the daily execution of allocated voyage and time chartered vessels. The person in this position is not only accountable for the efficient execution of the running fleet on the desk, but also for maximizing the profitability of every vessel in close cooperation with the commercial members of local origination team.

  • Accountable for the flawless international execution of grains & oilseeds within Ukraine.
  • Plans, implements, executes, monitors vessels execution operations for allocated voyage or time chartered vessels. Operates vessels as required in respect to business requirements.
  • CBN review for the River execution.
  • Efficient execution of vessel/barges at each terminal in EU depending on the flow of goods.
  • Follow up with trader to correct ATLAS if there is a mismatch (Terms, Cost Matrix).
  • Drafting and handling of international trading contracts with different sales/purchase terms and destinations for efficient execution on regular basis.
  • Follow up with buyers on matters relating to the contract.
  • Washouts of FOB Contracts and follow up for payment (make / receive)
  • Check system at the end of the month to make sure no expired shipment periods & pricing.
  • Run report for Final Invoices required at the end of the month.
  • Planning of loading program, transshipment operations and relevant expenses for each unit nominated under the contract.
  • Control of cargo quality parameters and analysis results during execution of the contract.
  • Control of loading/unloading operations of each unit nominated under the contract.
  • Handling insurance files and claims for cargo if any.
  • Control of documentation flow for each shipment.
  • Daily invoice booking (Services, Commodity Purchases) in the system.
  • Daily payments (update Counterparty bank details in the system, issue payment orders in the system).
  • Timely checking all position and contracts.
  • Request amendments.
  • Communication with Buyer + Banks.
  • Actively support the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental systems and objectives.

Experience

5+ years of relevant work experience

Knowledge and Skills:
Good knowledge of international trade and (preferably in the agricultural industry) general knowledge of international contract terms (GAFTA , FOSFA , ANEC , RSAL , PORAM, NAEGA ETC) preferred
Solid knowledge of chartering market
