  • To supervise the timely sampling and accurate analysis of incoming raw material, in-process goods, and packaging material to ensure that each lot/batch received and processed conforms to the company specifications. 
  • To ensure clear and proper coffee processing and lot preparation plan as per the specific standard screens and grades to ensure adherence to export quality standards. 
  • To work hand in hand with third party Inspectors (UCDA) in product sampling, certification, loading and dispatch in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. 
  • To ensure product processing, handling, flow, and segregation based on Food Safety and Quality standards. 
  • To ensure that current Good Manufacturing Practices are strictly followed to meet the quality and safety standards of the products. 
  • Carry out proper documentation and record keeping by ensuring that all the necessary records are completed and filed as required, both soft and hard copies. 
  • Ensure that all measurement equipment and instruments are well maintained and calibrated to give accurate results at all times. 
  • Making regular reports to the Quality Manager about any nonconformities observed in the operations to ensure the safety and quality of the product. 
  • Outturns results analysis and variances research. 
  • Team analysis calibration coordination and feedback 
  • Regional Audit Action Plan support for Quality department. 
  • Customer care system supervision and pre-shipment samples efficient control 
  • SOPs implementations follow up 
  • To contribute to efficient shipment plan according to clear loading plan; coffee allocation, lot preparation approval, bulk ratios instructions, re-bagging actions.  
  • Team motivation strategy and shifts plan 
  • Any other official duty as may be assigned by the manager from time to time 
  •  

Experience (include

  • Certification in coffee quality control (e.g., Q Grader certification).
  • 3 to 4 year's experience with quality control in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of international and Industrial coffee standards and regulations.

Knowledge:

Basic quality control knowledge, cupping and standards.

Education:

Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Languages:

English (Fluent)

Luganda

Systems:

Basic knowledge and exposure to Quality management systems.

Job Description
