Market Analysis & Communication
Daily communication with LDC offshore offices to align pricing strategies and share updates on local market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes
Synthesize and communicate Vietnam’s G&O demand trends, industry developments, and government policies to global teams
Monitor global and local trade flows, supply/demand dynamics, and arbitrage opportunities to identify profitable trades
Port & Operations Collaboration
Work closely with North Vietnam ports (e.g., Hai Phong, Lach Huyen) and operation teams to streamline CNF (Cost and Freight) logistics, customs clearance, and inland distribution.
Address bottlenecks in road transport, warehousing, and cross-border shipping through strategic partnerships with local logistics providers.
Business Development & Opportunity Capture
Identify and pursue new business opportunities beyond G&O (e.g., seed processing, alternative feed ingredients) by leveraging market data and local networks
Proactively explore partnerships with agro-industrial players, government bodies, and regional stakeholders to diversify revenue streams.
Commercial Execution & Relationship Management
Develop and strengthen relationships with Vietnamese buyers (end-users) and regional clients in the North
Negotiate and execute sales of SBM, corn, wheat, and other G&O products in Vietnam
Manage credit terms, contractual risks, and compliance with corporate policies during trade execution
Operational Coordination
Oversee contract execution, liaising with internal departments (other traders, executions) to ensure compliance and efficiency
Track competitor activities, pricing, and regulatory shifts affecting agricultural commodities

Experience
- Have at least 5-7 years of experience working in a multi-national corporation, with expertise in G&O markets
- Have experience in commodity trading/marketing agri-products (wheat, corn, soymeal…) and global regulator
Other skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities
- Proven ability to build teams in new markets, with experience in scaling operations in Northern Vietnam.
- Self-starter capable of identifying unconventional opportunities (e.g., seed processing3, alternative commodities)
- Being pro-active and result-oriented.
- Good rapport with buyers and good reputation in the industry.
- Able to work independently and under pressure. Have teamwork spirit.
- Able to travel upcountry and abroad.
Languages
- Effective command of spoken and written English to work with foreigners & English speakers.
Academics
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Business, Foreign Trade or related fields
