The position offers the opportunity to interact with senior management and work on a wide-range of legal matters associated with all aspects of the commodities merchandising and processing business, including complex transactions/M&A, commercial contracts, regulatory issues, corporate and finance, construction agreements, HR/employment law matters and litigation/arbitrations.   

 

 

Candidate Qualifications 

  • Juris Doctor degree 

 

  • Bar admission in good standing, licensed to practice in one or more states; without admission in Connecticut, must be eligible to register as Connecticut Authorized House Counsel. 

 

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in-house and/or in a law firm, with an emphasis on M&A and business development transactions, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, litigation/arbitration and intellectual property matters; prior in-house experience working on a range of matters is a plus. 

 

  • Must be able to multi-task in a challenging, fast-paced work environment. 

 

  • Ability to learn and support the breadth of the LDC Group’s businesses, with practical, business-savvy approach. 

 

  • Proactive, energetic self-starter and independent thinker. 

 

  • Detail oriented and organized. 

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.

Job Description

Experience
