We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Yard Supervisor to join our fast-paced warehouse at the Moree Cotton Gin. In this hands-on role you'll be responsible for efficiently and safely coordinating movements for the site as well as operating machinery and equipment such as forklifts and loaders. Daily activities include but are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Loading and unloading shipping containers
  • Building bale loads and lots
  • Maintaining records of quantity and store location 
  • Maintaining clean warehouse, concrete pads, rail and yard
  • General maintenance of equipment, buildings and the site
  • Routine inspections
  • Authorised Officer inspections of containers and cotton bales for exporting

     

 

  • Competent in operation of heavy equipment and machinery 
  • Forklift licence
  • Ability to work with data systems 
  • Great work ethic, reliable and a positive attitude
  • Experience coordinating a team
  • Good organizational skills to manage a large volume site
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to obtain DAFF Authorised Officer accreditation
  • Able to work longer hours and weekends during the peak shipping season
