The Warehouse Assistant shall oversee the day-to-day stock movement, update relevant inventory systems, participate in stock reconciliations and implement SOP. Main accountabilities (Main Responsibilities):

• Ensure accurate receiving and dispatch transactions.
• Monitor and track internal warehouse stock movements.
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Adhere and implement warehouse operational standard procedures.
• Update stock management systems.
• Conduct monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and orderliness on the warehouse floor.
• Ensure SHE compliance in the warehouse.
• Adhere and implement warehouse operational standard procedures.
• Maintain activity records and documents with necessary information.
• Update and share activity reports as required.
• Weekly warehouse utilization report

• COFFEE HANDLING AND EXPORTS
• Establish daily warehouse activity schedules.
• Ensure accurate coffee transfer, receiving and dispatch activities.
• Maintain activity records and share activity reports as required.
• Adhere and enforce warehouse operational standard procedures.
• Update stock management systems and participate in periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure correct loading of coffee for export as per the shipment plan and loading orders
• Supervise coffee containerization and sealing

• FLOOR MANAGEMENT
• Ensure proper housekeeping and orderliness on the warehouse floor.
• Monitor raw material usage and periodical reporting for timely re-ordering
• Supervise secure coffee staking.
• Ensure proper segregation of coffee grades, quality
• Ensure coffee labeling, locations are up-to-date and ensure all machines are working
• Allocation of duties to contracted labor. Monitor activity-based costs in the warehouse
• Ensure SHE compliance in the warehouse.
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments and subcontractors.
• Any other task assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Food Safety Responsibilities:

1. Planning and setting up and implementing the food safety system in your areas of responsibility including collecting information of PRP’s and HACCP; Pest Control, Storage/FIFO, Sanitation and Personnel Hygiene
2. Ensure that the coffee is traceable.
3. Comply with good hygiene practices
4. Responsibility for internal audits
3 years of inventory management.
Experience in coffee handling will be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge and exposure to warehouse management systems
• English (Basic)
• Local Uganda Dialect (Fluent)
Minimum requirement of Diploma in a business related course
