Responsibilities in Analytical Research
- Take ownership of Vietnam Coffee Balance Sheet and be responsible for properly and timely updating parameters on it after discussion with Senior Analysts.
- Be proactive in reviewing the Balance Sheet. Participate and contribute to the Balance Sheet review process.
- Plan and efficiently implement monthly stock surveys.
- Perform monthly stock reconciliation in coordination with senior analysts and agronomists.
- Analyze selling behavior of the farmers and other related parameters to help the team to come out with meaningful farmer selling estimates to estimate the coffee flow.
- Work closely with the agronomy team and follow the market closely to update and maintain daily farmer selling and volume traded numbers.
- Timely collect and forward cost of production and other relevant data to the Central Research team in Bangalore with supporting comments and justifications.
- Be aware of market happenings, competitors’ positions and production numbers, market sentiments, etc. by constant communication with people in the supply chain and with the agronomists.
- Source and process and analyze Phyto and Customs data, and data from other third-party sources in a timely manner.
- Analyze Vietnam domestic coffee consumption.
- Support in analysis of other origins when needed.
Responsibilities in Agronomical Research
- Travel extensively across provinces for carrying out surveys with farmers, stock holders, Government offices to collect data, for knowledge enhancement and for any other requirements as and when required by the Company.
- Participate in crop tours 4 times a year to enhance knowledge of the coffee crop and to understand crop estimation methodology.
- Participate in telephonic stock surveys during last week of every month. Physical verification of stocks to be carried out by visiting stock holders 3 times a year or as per the requirement.
Experience
Experience |
2-5 years of experience, ideally in commodities. Experience in coffee is beneficial.
Analytical skills – modern data analysis skills, coding in Python, R, SQL knowledge is a plus.
