Your missions:

  • Resource Management: Production planning and operations; shift organization; housekeeping in the plant area
  • Production Management: maintaining production by requesting production equipment supplies and materials; cooperating with other areas and departments in the plant/organization; replacing the refinery manager if absence
  • Team Leadership: supporting the production manager for planning and development plans; training the shift leader on qualification plans
  • Safety, Health, and Environment: ensuring adherence to all safety guidelines, regulations, and LDC policies; leading and participating in all LDC programs and initiatives to minimize accidents and incidents, e.g., PSM, risk assessment, HAZOP studies, SOPs, and waste management
  • Emergency Situations: being a member of the Crisis Team with a function in the Emergency Prevention Plan (Gefahrenabwehrplan)
  • Continuous Improvement: identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies; defining and monitoring the improvement plan to achieve results; leading continuous improvement groups
  • Projects: supporting the project department in the planning and implementing projects; engaging in project reviews from a production perspective; contributing to the pre-start-up review and participating in commissioning activities
  • Documentation and Reporting: recording of operating data, quantities and consumption and their processing in reporting; generating reports on production metrics, efficiency, and performance
  • Budget: supporting the Refinery Manager in overviews, planning, reports preparations

Your profile:

  • 5+ years of experience as a shift leader or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing chemical industry, preferably in agribusiness
  • Knowledge of process safety programs, health and environment compliance standards, and environmental practices related to manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically in Crushing or Biodiesel production
  • Experience in SCADA Systems (desirable: Siemens PCS 7)
  • Strong leadership qualities to motivate and inspire the plant team to achieve their best performance
  • Effective time management skills
  • German fluent
  • Conversational capacities for English
