COTTON CLASSER JOB DISCRIPTION:
· He should have technical knowledge on cotton quality specifications.
· He should advise what quality is available in market.
· He should have ability to classify cotton according to grade; staple length.
· He would have to travel cotton growing regions in India.
· He has to carry cotton samples from different ginning factories to company’s office.
· He should examine the cotton sample layers to detect variation in color; foreign matter; seeds; leaves.
· He should be able to determine staple; variation in staple within sample; strength by pulling the sample tuft apart between fingers.
· He should have knowledge of different variety grown in different states of India.
· He should have ability to find out mixing of inferior cotton in superior variety of cotton.
